         🌕 ORPS PICKLEBALL CLUB 🌕

 

The ORPS Pickleball Club year-end dinner & dance on March 13th, at ES, was an overwhelming success with over 200 celebrants in attendance.  The fun, food, and entertainment were truly exceptional with our Pickleball Family contributing so much throughout and we thank everyone involved in making this event happen.  Of course, our very, very, successful campaign for the vote in favour of Pickleball at 608, went a long way in making this party so positive and fun.  Again, we thank all of you.

 

A huge thank you goes out to each and everyone for their generous donations which resulted in attaining our goal to cover conversion costs for our seven permanent Pickleball courts.  This was our pledge to all ORPS Owners and we are now able to make good on our promise. 

 

We do continue to fund raise by donation to cover future logistical costs anticipated for matters such as shade structures, seating, lighting etc.  If there is anyone that wishes to contribute but has not yet been able to do so, or simply wishes to donate further, your help is certainly appreciated. 

 

Our Pickleball committee met today with ORPS General Manager Clint Atherton and members of the Tennis Committee.  We are happy to report that our proposed layout for the court conversion of 7 permanent Pickleball courts within the current tennis courts 7 & 8 at ES was very well received.  ALL parties were appreciative that our layout offers our players  substantial congregation space without encroaching upon the corridor adjacent to tennis courts 5 & 6.  In doing our best to preserve the aesthetics of appearance at ES poolside, we have done our part in keeping our 5 star resort, looking 5 star. 

 

Our campaign slogan, was "Vote Yes to Pickleball" and "Bring Harmony Back into ORPS".  With all stakeholders at the table today lending appreciation & support of our court proposal, fearful alternatives were alleviated & all indications are that harmony is back on track.  It cannot be overemphasized that we have you, and ALL ORPS OWNERS TO THANK!
