Playing:

The best way to learn pickleball or improve your skills is to play the game, take lessons, attend clinics and practice during open play.

  • If you are new to the sport and need a paddle come out to a beginner lesson and a paddle will be provided for you.

  • Join others during Open Play (all year), Rated Skill Level Play (December - March) or Structured Play (January -March). Sign-up to play at designated courts for your skill level.   

  • Rated Play takes place weekdays. Courts are organized by skill levels.  If you are a rated player or have signed up to be rated, you may play at the designated courts for your level.  Descriptions of rating levels can be found here under player development.

  • Most courts are available for Open Play every day during peak season and all weekend.  

  • Structured Play involves round-robin games where you will play with a variety of people at your skill level.

  • Lessons, Clinics and Drills These are held Monday through Friday Times will be on the web site.

  • Reserve a court foe a period of time on the weekend and play with your friends.  Sign-up sheets are posted by the Courts.

  • Test your skills and have fun by participating in ORPS Tournaments.

 

 

Improving Your Game:

Build your skills by participating in lessons and clinics.  Space is limited, so sign up and commit to coming.  

  • Beginners Lessons are for those new to the sport and for beginners refining basic skills and game strategy.    

  • Clinics on a variety of topics will be offered from November through March.  Look for announcementson the web.

  • Volunteers (when available) will lead players in a variety of Drills.
